estimating, solicitation of subcontract and materials proposals, analysis of
proposals for inclusion in bid, purchasing, scheduling, contract execution
and negotiating of change orders and all other items associated with the
construction of Water and Wastewater Treatment, Buildings as well as Illinois
Department of Transportation projects. Strengths are in the civil
structural, mechanical and piping work on these projects and thorough
understanding of plans, specifications, problem solving and construction
methods/ techniques. My abilities to manage and estimate
projects are reflected by the success of these projects yielding an average
of 1.65 times the estimated profit margin during my tenure. We self
performed concrete (to include placement design), excavation (to included
design of safe excavations), piping (to included design utilized to order

assignments in both the procedures and the construction oversight

modification of a $360 million offshore oil production platform in the
Arabian Sea. During my employment, I completed a
40-hour course in Cost Planning & Evaluation System (COPES) by McDonald
Douglas Automation; 40-hour course in Management Control & Scheduling

1978 to 1981 Worked in the corporate estimating
department, on refinery and steel mill estimates, and two separate Refinery
projects of Forty and Sixty Million Dollars. While on these projects, I
was the Chief Field Cost Engineer, Office Engineer and assisted the Project
and Scheduling Engineers in their duties and with the preparation of field
estimates and reports for management. Duties included monitoring ongoing
costs, calculating cost to complete, monitoring in-place quantities of work
complete and calculating percent complete. Reviewing daily time sheets
and material purchases with the project superintendents to facilitate proper
costing documents which were subsequently reviewed and analyzed in order to
